Let Me Introduce Myself!

Welcome to The Soar Of Caregivers Afterward Society - a slice of my current journey and a desire to be relevant, encouraging & contributive to people who have experienced the caregiver journey!

My name is Leah Brown, Leah Being is my pen name. I’m the founder of The Soar of Caregivers Afterward Society. It is my answer to introspection & the question I asked post-caregiving, “What am I? Swiss cheese?  You may have asked yourself that also.

My Caregiver duties completely ended 2 years ago with the passing of my elderly mom.  It was a great honor of filial piety & the most fulfilling service to love up on her doing my very best in the last stage of her life here on the planet. 

During that 9 year period, I set aside many (most) aspects of my own life. But life continued life-ing as it does and caregiving provided me with the  following challenges:

• Income challenges

• Grieving the loss of 3 close friends & identity

• Relationship issues

• A myriad of unaddressed feelings & emotions

• Physical well being challenges

• Grief after the loss of my mom

• Lack of a clear plan for Caregiver Afterwards

Despite all challenges, I am not Swiss cheese post-caregiving and neither are you!

What is The Soar Of Caregivers Afterward Society?

• A newsletter & a community of people ready to soar who are also Caregivers Afterward and celebrating in the fact that they have more life & fulfillment ahead of them!

Why another newsletter?

I am offering this newsletter as a catalyst for Caregivers Afterward to really embrace an exciting, joyful, purposeful next chapter. And, my intention is to create and environment for people to create new, lasting friendships, community & more.
